Re: London Bus (The Baron of Beef)?
Given the damage to the bus's paintwork and the undamaged state of the label, I would say not.mike wrote:Is this an original sticker

Re: London Bus (The Baron of Beef)?
It is a reproduction decal Mike.
The genuine Baron of Beef decal does not use white in the printing.

It looks like a repainted or touched-in roof as well. Keep hunting Mikemike wrote:Thank you friends for the information.

Hi Mike,
Here are some (dark) pictures of my Baron of Beef 5d - you can clearly see the difference - as noted by NIck, no white in the labels/decals...
Cheers,
Gavin

So it means, mine "Baron Of Beef" Bus is fake too.
I am a bit angry.

I have bought from Maseytoys several times in the past and have no reason to suppose that he is anything other than 100% honest. I would suggest contacting him, explaining the situation (including a link to this thread), and seeing if he would be willing to refund you. (Given the circumstances, I doubt very much whether he will want the model back, thereby saving you the cost of return postage.)Ergomatic wrote:So it means, mine "Baron Of Beef" Bus is fake too.

Re: London Bus (The Baron of Beef)?
The Baron of Beef models all have decals. There are reproduction Paper Labels made (as well as reproduction Decals). As mentioned, if you have any "white" in the decal; it's a fake. If you have a Baron of Beef with a Paper Label it too is a fake.
Pegrams models all have a Paper Label. Just like the Baron of Beef, some reproductions are made in a Decal and these will, of course, all be fakes.
I can't tell if Mike's model has a Paper Label or a Decal. Regardless, besides the white, the Label or Decal is too large for the model and that can clearly be seen. Many reproduction Pegrams labels are also over size and that too is easy to spot on the models.

It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
