Hi All the Reading vintage was another poor one for me, managed to pick up a couple from Stevenk. A bit of a joke to pay £10 to get in early, there was a few early matchbox but nothing worth buying. I missed you Ghosthunter perhaps see you at Sandown or the NEC. Pete

Re: Toy fair news
Hi Pete
Steven K was also at Brentwood yesterday. He showed me an unusual 14a Daimler Ambulance with larger un-numbered metal wheels that he has. He is a regular reader of our forum and said he will join soon,
You could give Brentwood a try Pete, only £5 for early entry, it's not one of the biggest toyfairs but the number of gems that seems to constantly appear at this fair is astounding, Plus there are always lots of friendly faces there.
In addition to the gems that Reg and I found there was a large scale early milk float complete and in mint condition for £150 and Graham (rockertron) bought a mint boxed Mercedes coach in the common orange but with white interior and light tan roof.

Re: Toy fair news
Hi Jason.
It was my first toyfair in over a month, I was very happy with my finds, I rarely come back from Brentwood without a carrier bag stuffed with goodies.

Hi Nick & all, I have been to Brentwood a couple of times but never managed to buy anything, I hate driving nowadays , did you see Graham there Pete
Re: Toy fair news
There must be both a StevenK and a StephenK (I was at Reading)!
Re: Toy fair news
I went to Reading too, and it wasn't bad, although I didn't find a great deal. The early-bird charge is indeed steep, and you have to pay parking on top of that (£1, of which you get 50p back at the desk). The only bonus was that the car park ticket machine hadn't had its clock put back, so I had an extra hour. It's amazing to think I spent over 3 hours there! The displays are always an added bonus at Reading. There were some great Bayko houses, and there's always an excellent Triang layout mixing trains and Minic Motorways. I think it was slightly less extravagant than usual this time, though.

Sorry I missed you too Pete. "StephenK" mentioned he saw you but was earlier in the Day, I got there just as they started letting the public in. Yes, hope to catch you at a later date.petethesweet1 wrote:Hi All the Reading vintage was another poor one for me, managed to pick up a couple from Stevenk.
