50a red and white?

Is it genuine or is it fake?

50a red and white?

Post by Ewan »

I just took a bit of a gamble on this one and would appreciate members help/opinions. Firstly, it is obvious from the edges of all the paint chips that the red is over the top of the lighter colour, and secondly I've noticed red overspray particularly around the window pillar. Are these 2 things consistent with the real deal or I have I bought an aged custom?

It looks consistent with mine Ewan, even down to the slight red overspray where the mask hasn't worked 100%.

Thanks johnboy, I'm a lot happier now. I'd not seen either a red/white or red/grey one in the hand before so wasn't sure exactly what to expect - better safe than sorry. It was at the bottom of a junk box which to me means either the seller hasn't researched it or he knows it's fake. The seller seems to shift a lot of stuff but it's nearly all Corgi/Dinky so maybe Lesney just isn't his thing.
