Hello Dick those 9c models with crimped axles are out there, like you I started to think that these ones did not excist really.
I must have looked at 100s & 100s till I spotted this one, knowing that I only have the Auction sites to look at.

I agree with you George, it is pretty hard to find one model with DC axles. I have in my collection two 9c with DC axles. One is in very good condition and has a "standard" 3 areas rear silver trim.
