#39, Silver Shadow II.

Post by GHOSTHUNTER »

Here is my own 1977, Silver Shadow II 4 door saloon. This car was introduced by Rolls-Royce in early 1977, as a replacement for their original Silver Shadow, launched in 1965. The new car has numerous improvements including rack and pinion steering, split-level air conditioning, some engine mods and design tweaks like a thicker grille.

Matchbox introduced a similar Silver Shadow II model in September 1979, for some reason they did not use the series 'II' description on the box, or the blister card, but it is on the baseplate.

The baseplate with the correct Silver Shadow II description.

I'm sure Ghosty doesn't get involved in the vulgarities of money, isn't that dealt with by the manservant?

You are quite right JB my apologies, please let me rephrase my question,

Hey Marmaduke, what mpg do you get out of that mother? Your boss must have very deep pockets to pay off that fuel card every month!!

Hello chaps, my master has given me permission to write to Jack Barclays who are prepaired to wake-up their senior mechanic, to ask him to write a detailed service report for the...erm, what was it now, EM PEEGY was it! or something to do with the petrol, I am sure they understand all the technical stuff and they will post copies to both of you by recorded delivery so you will have on your desks first thing in the morning.
