An interesting Field Car?
An interesting Field Car?
I saw this one while cruising Ebay. I waitied until it closed before mentioning it but since it was relisted I could not wait anymore. Look at the color under the green, seems like it was a leftover orange first? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1519901080

It most certainly does. We know that Lesney recycled a number of different models by overspraying them, and I'm sure that this particular one has been mentioned before.
Re: An interesting Field Car?
Actually, this is a very hard variation to collect, since how would you ever find a mint example?

Re: An interesting Field Car?
Hi all,
sadly we can not see the picture of the ebay item "ford_a_30" post some time ago, but I think it was an oliv green (Lesney) painted field car with orange primer.
Today I found an orange field car with metallic red primer.
This field car is painted in a dark orange, often found with '179' tampo on it. (just to clarify which orange shade is meant)
Any thoughts about it?
Maybe we can keep this interesting thread alive.
Greetings,
Linus

Re: An interesting Field Car?
I remember the other thread with the olive over orange.
This is an equally great and interesting find, congrats to you!
