The silver-grey van in the middle of the picture is now not a Tudor Rose, (they do make one because I have one), it is another friction powered toy from Hong Kong, marketed by 'FAIRYLIGHT' and shown below.

Here is the Royal Tiger Coach by 'ROXY TOYS', once again another Hong Kong item. Roxy Toys were a big enough company to have some of the models baseplates, re-tooled to show the 'ROXY TOYS' logo, the 'Brand' is not as well known as say Lucky, Lincoln, Clifford and Telsalda etc. Even without it's box, I would consider this to be quite a find, well done.

Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
You really know your stuff and many many thanks for the info and pics, the land rover and tiger coach were the ones that i noticed in the pic and made me bid,the daimler ambulance probably is a dinky inspired model so i may keep this one also because its similar to lesney,s ,the boxed royal car is on hold for you has is the boxed "chitty" cars from the left corner pending pics and condition etc,and i will post the comic tomorrow has i have some posting to do.
It hard to tell off the pic but these models will be around 5 inches long so quite a change from the miniture copies, and to keep the post "correct" heres a lesney metal copy thats been hanging around my computer for weeks which is roughly 3/4 the size of the lesney model. ahi?(sorry about quality of pic,bit dark here)

Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
Here are some more fairly well known copies, these are once again from Hong Kong and first arrived on the scene in the U.K., in the mid-70's. Woolworth's sold them under their 'WOOLBRO' brand name, but this only consisted of a circular red and white sticky label, applied to the box, the normal packaging and the model itself was essentially still the 'WT TINTOYS' item.
The first picture shows the two copies sitting on the two Lesney originals.
The second picture shows this example is clearly based on the early-70's 'MOY' purple and yellow window box. The model however is only similar, it is not a direct copy of the Lesney casting.
The third picture shows the same 'WT TINTOYS' model, but in a box design totally inspired by the 1979 'straw box' and this fact alone dates the model as being available in the early-80's.
There is no monetary value in these particular models, but the 'WOOLBRO' version is quite hard to find.

Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
Here is a 'KELLY TOYS' Polythene copy of the 'MOY' Y-5(B), Bentley 'Blower'. This particular range copied quite a number of the 'MOY' range and while originating in Hong Kong, I don't think they were intended to come to the U.K., but probably the U.S. markets. The box is an amalgam of early 'MOY' designs, the red letters on each side of the car, are the 'K' and 'T' initials for 'KELLY TOYS'.
These models are not that easy to find, still with their box and despite what it is, (a really cheaply made and designed toy from Hong Kong), I do cherish this example and it makes a nice addition to my Bentley collection and is quite a talking point, I even keep it with the Y-5(B) Bentley collection, it stays in the same storage box!
