Although I am replying to my own post...I got a box load of diecast from my father today and wondered if there was anything that I should not touch (my first thought is the Husky Forward control Land Rover?

Also which would you recommend as a good starting point to improve?

Well Carl001, The superfasts are all a bit playworn but amongst them i see the #23 camper is the rare variant with the filler cap and the #31 Lincoln is the slightly harder to find wide wheel arch wide wheel variant and would be just fine left as they are IMHO.

Has the top been broken off this model, ie the windscreen?

OK Carl001, thanks for the extra pictures. It is not the 'Hard To Find' version so you can paint or restore it to your own specification and yes, the windscreen, a folded hood, steering wheel and towing hook have gone missing.

Thanks Ghosty...it will probably sit in my miniature scrap yard which is growing far faster than I ever imagined. With each model comes a problem that one would not expect, be it missing parts or bent axles, the challenge is giving me a real buzz!

Very encouraging words Carl, it sounds like you are enjoying your hobby already because we all at one time or other have had a real buzz from our hobby, be it restoring as you are now engaged in, finding that elusive variation or completing a sub-collection, plus of course it gives forum members a certain buzz when expertise and helpful hints and tips can be shared around to help others and this forum has plenty of members doing just that.
