Hi all,
today this G-3 Matchbox Farming Set arrived. The M7 Cattle truck and some tyres were missing but fortunately I was able to complete the set with my own M7 and tyres.
The inner cardboard is missing just like at my G-2 transporter set but I can accept the fact :D

Greetings from a very happy collector,
Linus

Hello Linus, a very nice set with that special...'Just Played-with'...look about it and what good use you have made of the trailer!

I believe there are modern replacement tracks available, so it may be worth looking in on "'Tinman's" restoration thread to check.

To have any sort of box remaining for largish sets like those in your picture is a treat, because the models are usually put into a larger toy box (with other toys, of course!), and packaging gets broken or cut-up for the pictures!

Very nice, thanks.

Ghosty.

Thank you all for your kind comments :)
The giftset has the original price tag.
It was then sold in a German toy shop called "Spielwaren Pitsch" in "Duisburg Ruhrort".
It cost 13,25 Dm = 6,60€ = round about 5,20 GBP. Just incredible what prices these giftsets nowadays fetches!!!
I got mine for 60€. A lot of money for me but a good price for the giftset, I think...

Greetings,
Linus

The money is not important. What counts is the smile you had on your face when you got it. I just love that feeling!!

I think you've got the conversion factor the wrong way round: € 1.00 = DM 1.95583.

Hello Idris,
uuuups, you are right! I will correct this.
Seems I was blinded by the giftset.

Greetings,
