I think I must agree with Numi the only contact from Michael was to ask for more advice about a different model, an explanation would have been nice

Is Michael wanting the Forum to personally "Endorse" every unusual model he has to sell??

I don't think that is the purpose of this forum unless i am mistaken?? I am therefore a little concerned regards his intentions ultimately IMHO

We members here at the Forum are certainly available for advice to anyone who needs it on their little British made Toys Motorman. The Forum is for the sharing of our knowledge, and it certainly has been educational for this 50 year veteran Lesney collector. I am impressed by anyone brave enough to share an odd variation here without fear of it being ripped apart. My 35 Snow Tracks with perfectly placed Lesney tires over their original plastic rollers were a huge shock to me when exposed, but I am Thankful for a cheap lesson in humility. As we are exposed to questions and comments as well as pictures of odd variations, we are all still learning and also teaching at different times.
May we all live on to share our knowledge! We can endorse the odd factory models anyone has to share with us here while we learn why other models are NOT what they may initially appear to be........ ;) kwakers

Hi Michael
I am enclosing a photo of the rear brace. You model is unfortunatelly 100% fake. Nice you made a remark on ebay, that the model is re-painted.

Hammer price was an amazing US$589 (about £355). Not bad for a repaint!

Buyer clearly blinded by greed and the crazed notion "I would accept nothing less!"

After I posted that he had put it on Ebay, he emailed me why I do not know, may be he was hoping that I would agree with him.

I replied saying that he should take notice of all the posts that were on the forum and that I agreed with them.

I have noticed that some people come on this forum with a model, too get a value, or details about it, then we never see or hear from them again.

I think sometimes George, these short lived 'Visitors' are making the Forum much more interesting for us. We initially got very excited over this Blue Mack. Brad then woke us up with the model having later rear braces on it, so we are now much wiser than we were before Michael came here. Michael has shown us that not all Buyers have the resources of our Forum to turn to, and and to learn from. I see Antonin's original Blue Mack has the letter 'A' on it's base unlike Hardy's, but is also without rear braces on it. Such information is not commonly found, so Michael's model has given us some valuable knowledge, even if his Mack is a terrible 'used' re-paint. If we are known for our expertise in sorting out some of these 'Fake Rarities', that is not such a bad reputation for our Forum to enjoy! Thank You Nick for giving us this opportunity to help others and enjoy collecting with friends. kwakers :D
