Good for you, Mike!
There's no shame whatsoever in speculative bidding on cheap models (as my 14c Lomas with roof decal proves).
......... It also includes some risk, passion for the collector.
That is my opinion Hugh. :D

Hi Mike, looks like a green or sea-green Zodiac on the left (repainted) and a Cresta on the right.

Good evening,
I think Johnboy is right, I would also say its a Zodiac and a Cresta.
Mike, are there some news about the pipe truck or are you still waiting for it?
I saw this offer, too. Wasn't it in German Ebay?

Here is another auction with a leyland with red grill...
But that one is easy to classify wether it's a repaint or not :D

Happy collecting,

That particular example in the link, is a good example of how the plating has faded away to reveal the red plastic component, mentioned in my earlier post about Mikes 'Red grilled pipe truck'. You can see the underneath section has hardly been affected and the small areas around the headlamps are also still showing signs of the plating.

There is a nice #24c Rolls-Royce next to it though, wouldn't mind having that... :D

I would say that grille has been painted, there's small amounts of red paint on the green body.
