A2 with early logo and gray plastic wheels?
A2 with early logo and gray plastic wheels?
Just got a lot of 60 or so with some real neat stuff. This one has me a little baffled. It is an A2 with the early black lettering but it has gray plastic wheels. Is this something unrecorded or has Ramseys and Nick just overlooked listing it? I know it's upside down, I'm lucky to figure out how to even take a picture.

Re: A2 with early logo and gray plastic wheels?
This was discussed on the old forum , cross over model from metal wheels to grey plastic. They must have used up the last of the decals on these models. Very nice model, you do not see that many. J

I've owned the same model and seen this model in the collection's of others. The black Matchbox Car Transporter logo was used after plastic wheels were adopted. Shortly into the use of plastic wheels, the orange/red decal came into use. This logo is not a decal.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
Re: A2 with early logo and gray plastic wheels?
Thanks fellas. I figured it would fall into that crossover time. Since I hadn't seen any of the guides list it, I was hoping mine was the first one found. Is there anyway to still view the threads on the old forum? I have not been to the other site since the "upgrade" day. Is anyone still using it?
