Not done yet....

Made the Wash State Patrol shield myself... May paint roof black and need rear antenna and roof beacon.

Hi Matchboxtom, I agree, the roof would look better with a black finish. If you don't have a spare roof beacon for it, you could cut-up one of those throw-away coloured plastic cigarette lighters, the sort that come in different colours but are essentially clear colours, so you can see into it. I am sure you have the skills to be able to fabricate a nice roof beacon from some of that plastic. For the rear antenna, you can make one by gently heating up some plastic kit sprue over a lit candle and when you can feel the plastic is becoming soft, gently pull it apart by moving your hands away and it will stretch to any thickness you require. With practice you can make all sorts of fine thread type plastic rods or lengths of plastic rod. Do it with nylon or polythene based plastic and the finished antenna will be about as 'springy' as the original Corgi item, good luck.

FYI, Steve Flowers sells replacement beacons for this model.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
