Definitely a trades description job because mine were never "lucky" they were full of old rubbish
I might be getting confused because I also remember something called Jamboree Bags, but I think they were full of rubbish too :D

Unlike all my other Lone Star this one doesn't have any branding inside the cab roof though, I wonder why?

Made for distribution outside of the UK, quite possibly to one of the American wholesalers for them to market as a generic toy truck and only a logo or 'Brand' name would appear on packaging for it.

Here is a short listing of Roadmaster Majors in the 1280 catalogue number series.

1281, Rocket fuel tanker.
1282, Low sided truck & trailer.
1283, Breakdown truck.
1287, Sand carrying dumper truck.
1288, Timber truck.
1294, 'BP' hovercraft fuel tanker.

All these were catalogued during 1969, they use the short cab design as shown below.

I had quite a lot of these (I collect Lone Star but mainly the OOO railway series) and I had acquired quite a lot but I took a stall at the last Reading Vintage and sold them as a job lot. I have seen the "Rocket Fuel" one at a few toyfairs I wasn't aware it was exceptionally rare
