53b Mercedes in Maroon with BPW

This one has eluded for a long time, first one I have ever seen. George T was the first person I had seen with one of these.
Maroon with 9x24 BPW, I know its playworn but any one will do when you are struggling to find it.
Probably turn up everywhere now. Just need a code 1 now with 9x20 spw. J

Hello Jason, a very nice find it took me a very long time to get this one. Like you I now need the Maroon one with SPW 9 x 20 treads.

As we seem to have lost My Casting show on the old site I will post the two colour variation again, for newer members as some of the sellers get confused on Ebay, when listing this model 53b.

I did not relize how hard this Maroon model with BPW was to find.

Hi George, been looking for a long time for this variation. Maybe its just overlooked but I have looked at many models and this is the first I have found.
As you say many people get confused between the red and maroon colour and photos just do not help sometimes. SPW 9x20 is another one that could
be overlooked but I have never had any beaters of this variation either.

Nice find, I have never seen any 53b with kbpw before. All the crimson ones I have seen have had fine tread bpw and most maroon ones spw with a handful of badly playworn maroon 53b having gpw. Paint on the maroon 53b is notoriously brittle...

Hello SMS88, the Red one with GPW is a bit hard to find it only comes with 9 x 24 treads.

We love this model.
These are our Mercedes 53b.
The Maroon model has silver wheels.

Can you RW guru's help confirm the colour of my BPW 53b. To me it looks a deep Maroon but could be a deep red i guess. It has the 3 diagonal ridges cast into the front wheel arches but also has the patent number on the base. The rear of the car has no silver trim. I think it is a code 8 on Nicks guide. It is just the colour that is confusing me.
