A work colleague of mine and a massive collector of White metal "MG" models brought me a load of old Model Cars magazines ranging from the early 60's to early 70's as he thought i may enjoy reading them. I was astounded by the wonderful artwork on these magazines and i am sure some of you will enjoy looking at the covers. Indeed some of you may have bought and collected these back in the good old days. I have photograped some of the covers including issue number 1 from 1964 (before i was born!!!). Hope you like. (sorry if the images are small please enlarge them to get a better view. I will post more images over the next few weeks. Enjoy.
By the way i believe that my mate might be persuaded to sell some of these so if anyone is interested PM me and i will get in contact with him to see what he is looking for price wise.

Re: Who remembers the Model Cars Magazine?
Hopefully there are some advertisements of our favorite Matchbox, Dinky, Corgi, and other toys. Let see some more pics.
Re: Who remembers the Model Cars Magazine?
I think this mag was before my time - we had Reg Miles excellent monthly 2 page spread in ´´Scale Models´´ which I read from 1972 and particularly remember wanting a 1/43 Peugeot 504 + Fiat 124 sport coupe - still dont have those vintage items but do have a lot of others seen then....... and would like to have scans of those issues to look through again one mo´ time!
Re: Who remembers the Model Cars Magazine?
I got some of these somewhere.
Re: Who remembers the Model Cars Magazine?
Having looked through a few of them the main area of interest they covered was slot cars and model kit built cars. Very little mention of Matchbox so far which is disappointing.

Nice, thanks for showing these.
I have a lot of RAILWAY MODELLER magazines for train enthousiast. These are from the 60ties and had a lot of Matchbox adverts in them.
