GOLD Lambo 'Regular Wheel'...

Post by GHOSTHUNTER »

This is nice and the rivets look good to me, pity there is not a lot of descriptive notes, but pictures are not too bad,

We were only able to find four of these in stores in our extensive travels in 1969-70, so the price is well deserved on this rarity. The leftover yellow regular wheels were on the shelves along with the brand new Gold Superfasts, so we knew in advance that these were quite special. Unfortunately, one of our gold ones was stolen with a part of our collection, but we did have our spares. Jason is now the proud owner of one of our examples, having it's provenance right out of an upstate New York store. Perhaps most of these gold color RW models came to the U.S.A. through Bronner ? kwakers

Dick,

I found mine in London (albeit not in 1969/70!) - for GBP1 I can live with the chipping...
