Re: Word is getting about...
The article is a few years old, back in the LeFora days of Nick and Debbies, but the facts remain relevant today. I feel his recommendation of Vectis is a bit biased, their 'Toy Experts' are sometimes not very knowledgeable when it comes to Fake 'Rare' regular wheel Lesney variations...... kwakers

They are either not very knowledgeable, or choose to invoke caveat emptor. As a moneymaking business they might choose not to draw attention to the dubious attributes of some of the lots they sell. Whatever the case, they've certainly sold screaming fakes for considerable sums in the past. Whilst it is disappointing that a business with their reputation allows this to happen sometimes, it is also sad that some collectors are prepared to stump up such ridiculous amounts of money without first researching widely available information that would have enabled them to avoid buying fakes.kwakers wrote:The article is a few years old, back in the LeFora days of Nick and Debbies, but the facts remain relevant today.
