Who made this?
Who made this?
I have a Ford Model A van that was made by an unknown British maker. All that's on the base is "Model A" and "Made in Gt. Britain. I don't even know where my mom got it, as she eventually let me have this model. It could be one of the very last UK made diecasts.
Could someone tell me who made it, and when it was made?

Re: Who made this?
The wheels look like Corgi Cameo models, but I am no expert and do not have any in my collection to check.

Re: Who made this?
It certainly looks late, and the fact that it says "Made in Gt. Britain" as opposed to "Made in England" or "Made in Wales" strikes me as being unusual. (As an aside, are there any models with "Made in Scotland" on them?)

Hello Cody6268, can you take another clearer photo of your white Van, the one you have shown is out of focus and another photo showing the baseplate (the bottom of the model), thanks.

Hello Cody6268, thank's for the extra pictures, they are still out of focus, but I can see enough detail on the baseplate, once I had enhanced your picture. This model was made by the same company who made the Corgi Cameo series of models and that is why "Mattrove" recongnised the wheels. You can buy this as a new model from a company in Wales as model number TY2, in red and white (shown below), for about $8.
I have also included a picture of the base of a proper Corgi Cameo model 'T' Ford Van to show you the base details and if you compare it with your model you will see they have come from the same factory.
Your example may well have been promoting something else but has lost its side logos or it was in a set, it does not have Corgi on the base simply because of it's 'Promotional' status and the MADE IN GT BRITAIN in this instance, means South Wales (which is part of England), where Corgi are currently based.
