HOW TO GUARANTEE AN EBAY SALE

Post by motorman »

I have used many tried and tested methods over the years to try to boost my sales on E bay. I thought i knew it all.........that was until i saw this sellers listings.

What i noticed was the amount of time and effort put in to maximise the impact on the buyer of his wonderful sales with stunning close well focused photography, wonderfully complimented with an appropriatetly coloured background and with the various models carefully displayed in such a manner that their best attributes are to the fore.

I am now rather embarrassed at my attempts to lure buyers and i feel that some of you may also need to tips to help boost your e bay sales and may benefit from this sellers expertise.

In light of this i have included a few of links to the sellers listings for you all to digest.

Sit back, look and learn.............this is how you guarantee a sale on Ebay!!!!

I particularly like the rather dodgy stain on the rather filthy bed sheet used as a back drop. I am "itching" to bid,...........just try and stop me!!!!!

Well, what can you say. I don't 'E-bay' myself, but l do see a lot of badly engineered adverts on there. How on earth could a prospective buyer be interested in anything on offer and why has the seller not noticed how bad they are!

Is he such a beginner he does not yet have the experience.
Is he so un-interested in selling his models.
...and has he not looked at how other sellers are doing it?

It may just be me, but on reflection, I now can't help to feel sorry for him and his basic approach to selling his models on E-bay.

There you go, told you I don't E-bay, so those figures you quote are obviously staring me in the face, but I would not have known what to do with them or what they actually mean, thank's "Motorman" I now do not feel sorry for him...

I've often looked at photos on ebay and thought they would make a good topic on how not to sell your wares. That said, some of my best ebay gems have actually come from far worse examples.

Me too, Can you believe a 6b Euclid with grey plastic wheels and a £4.95 opening price got no bids, It was a very dark photo which cost the seller hundreds.
I won it for £4.95 as I was the only bidder, Lucky for me as I brightened the picture and found the treasure. Likewise a 47b Rentaset with fine tread grey plastic wheels, £70.
