Now we have a better picture, its a 'Perspective Roller'.
In the early days of "Matchbox" models, to get all of them to fit in a standard 'Norvic' type matchbox, a lot of the taller models had to be flattened with one of these 'Perspective Roller' units, they did not realise it was cheaper to make the boxes bigger, until the early sixties.........!

I could not bring myself to ask you, what a "jobby" is

However, curiosity got the better of me ....
Upon finding the definition of the word in the "urban dictionary"
I am now counting my blessings, that I did not ask you directly ! lol

That would certainly help explain the 1 - 75 series cartoon cars we had to suffer in the early 1970s.zBret wrote:It's a "pint level", probably used on his lunch break, at the local pub

Nick let me level with ya (level get it lol) it really is for this purpose mate and I probley never explained it right and the bottle square also has Lesney Products embossed onto it both ends so there is no denying it came from the factory & who am I to argue with a former toolmaker, this gizza was on the level (another joke lol) and knew loads of names that I recognised from past conversations and he even knows Paul Carr who worked in the room next door to him.
