Coventry Museum of Transport.

Post by Alexdundee »

We have been to Coventry this last weekend to see some friends and they suggested to go to the Coventry Museum of Transport.
Free entry and only £1 parking on Sunday 5 minutes walk away.
There where cars, bikes and motor bikes on display from the very first to the latest and everything in between.
And to top it all there was the Thrust fastest land speed record holder super sonic car...

and the Toy gallery with all sorts from Tonka to Matchbox.
A great day out for the whole family...

Thank's for the pictures Alexdundee, never been to this one, don't know why, I don't live all that far away. Looks like a nice cross-section of diecasts and chunky tinplates.

They also have/used to have one of the best toy fairs, Very little modern, all proper vintage stuff, well worth a visit.

I went there a couple of times when I lived in or near Cov a few years back. I'd completely forgotten about those toy displays - memory came flooding back as soon as I saw your pictures Alex. They're really nice displays, and this museum is pretty much the only thing worth doing in Coventry!

Cheers,
Gavin
