Mercedes Unimog 49b in green?
Re: Mercedes Unimog 49b in green?
Yes that would be the same two greens as I have, ones sold in 1:75 box's I have are lighter than twin pack ones.. Their is also a much darker green as well ..
The Unimog is a Merc, made in Germany ,, This is the part I can not understand...USA army with German trucks?. I didn't think the NATO 1 world order 1 world government had started when this model came out..
I'd understand it more if the USA version was a GMC etc.. (the army tow truck looks good so does the bulldozer)
New Zealand Army did not get German made unimog's till early 1980's... they replaced the Old English RL Bedford..
We didn't have the round front unimog, just the square one with turbo engines and they were rubbish.. But went places.

Hello maldat, I was stationed in Germany during the 1950s in the Royal Air Force, and all their vehicles were German, apart from a lonely british Land Rover. But the British Army used British motors,
