Silver Shadow Coupe Screen Replacement

Post by johnboy »

This is along the lines of the Pontiac Convertible. I know most people would just but a minty replacement, but I had a wrecked donor model and thought I'd give it a go. It only took 10 minutes in the end. Unlike the Pontiac, this screen is riveted in place so I nibbled enough away to free it from the post and then removed the remnants of the damaged screen from the recipient model with a dental pick through the wheel wells. The new one popped in easily and is quite firm, so this one is displayable now. edit, don't ask me why the photos have loaded in reverse order :?:

This can be an affordable way to get a htf base colour variation presentable! I have done this in the past with a gold example
