Re: more spot on
I really wish the Matchbox Racing Mini was just a normal Superfast model like the MG 1100. Why did Lesney had to make it so ugly? It was looking a lot better in pre-production stages with the door hinges, why were these removed?
Re: more spot on
I am aware of the prepro examples with the door hinges, and i assume the decision to remove them was to allow for a sound flat surface for the application of the racing labels.Idris wrote:They did (but then they deleted them!)motorman wrote:And they included the door hinges on the spot on mini, something that Matchbox should have done with the SF#29 Racing Mini. You are not alone in that opinion for the mini was one of the most iconic cars of the 60's and to see Matchbox not treat it with the importance and respect it deserved was somewhat disappointing and incomprehensible. IMHO
