36c Opel Diplomat

Post by johnboy »

The grey engine model is listed with a gloss base only, but this one has a flat black base. I'm still trying to work out the size of the hinge blocks though. Does anyone else have one?

Thanks for checking so quickly George. I still can't make out the hinge blocks on mine yet, I'll have to get the soopa doopa magnifier on it.

I've now checked and these both have 2mm hinge blocks.

I hadn't paid much attention to the paint on the Diplomat before but I found one, here in the middle, that is much more of a vivid gold than the others. Looking at the photo now, the one second left is also a bit brighter, I wonder if there are a couple of distinct shades on this model?

Sorry, but I'm not very familiar with this model as I've never owned one, but can someone please tell me what the two square cut outs on either side of the base, in the middle are for?

Cheers Steve
