Hi I jumped the gun, yesterday I posted a photo of the 22b boxes (2) saying the one with-out the label had the word New on the box, and said that all my other boxes the word New was omitted, but checked again and found this statement was wrong.
Sorry about that, less haste more speed.

22B SF boxes
Re: 22B SF boxes
George,
I checked mine too and also have the with-label box with "new" on the endflaps.
Cheers,
Gavin

Re: 22B SF boxes
What I still do not know about this model's boxes is if there is a variation with the "NEW" on the endflaps and with "Specification and colour of contents subject to amendment" on one of the endflap closers.
This is one of many examples of minor G type box variations about the existence of which I am not sure. Generally speaking, the sequence of the omission of "NEW", the addition of "Specification and colour of contents subject to amendment" and the omission of the "TM" attached to the "Superfast" lettering is pretty much the same for all models:
1. with "TM", with "NEW", without "Specification"
2. without "TM", with "NEW", without "Specification"
3. without "TM", with "NEW", with "Specification"
4. without "TM", without "NEW", with "Specification"
Some of the intermediate combinations may have been skipped for some models. Also for some models which were deleted from the range during that time period I am not sure which of the later combinations were still produced and which were not.
However, the Freeman Inter-City Commuter is an exception to the above sequence. According to my list it is the only model for which a G type box exists with the black "TM" combined with no "NEW". Another exception is the 48c Dodge Dumper Truck for which a G type box exists with red "TM" combined with no "NEW", while strangely there is also a G type box for that model with no "TM" but with the "NEW" still in place. Anyway, it seems on those two models' G type boxes the "NEW" was omitted earlier than on all others, resulting in them being more common without "NEW" than most others - unless you know differently!
