K37 Pre-Production
Re: K37 Pre-Production
I have to say - hats off to whoever spotted it, there are so many military repaints on ebay I wouldn't have even checked the listing out to see the incomplete date! Having never even held a pre-pro I have no idea if that's value for money or not.

Re: K37 Pre-Production
Beat me to it yet again Hugh, I never saw it the first time round. I had made an offer initially but could not wait so had to buy it. I checked vectis auctions and thought he was offering quite a fair price,
do you think it was a bit high?
Very happy with the model, added a Met green tailgate which goes quite well for displaying. J

Re: K37 Pre-Production
I thought it was a little on the high side for a later issue, Superfast version of a not very exciting model in a not so highly collected range. Certainly it was more that I would have been prepared to bid on it but, there again, I don't really collect anything except 1 - 75s.nearlymint wrote:I checked vectis auctions and thought he was offering quite a fair price, do you think it was a bit high?
At the end of the day, if you and the seller consider it to have been a fair price, who am I to say it wasn't (especially if it was in line with Vectis hammar prices)? We all pay what we want to (or, perhaps more realistically, can afford to) pay.
Re: K37 Pre-Production
Another great addition there Jason and a further snippet of Matchbox history. I haven't a clue on prices for these, but who knows how many of these are left?

Well done Jason
I like it. I'm jealous
Had I been out of hospital I would have fought you for it - but no hard feelings!

Very nice model Jason, it seems that there are not so many modifications to the standard model is not it?

Re: K37 Pre-Production
Thanks Wolfie, its in pretty good condition which was a main reason for me buying it straight away. Most of my ones are a bit playworn so its nice to get a good one now and then.
Antonin there are very small casting differences only but these could be on first production runs anyway,
