picked up the bpw one a while ago off ebay thinking it might be a white interior one
on arrival it looked to be just sun faded (window glass being a bit yellow)
the interior has a very light pinkish tone and the paint is a creamy colour which is even all over including the underside
any thoughts

Lack of pigment in the paint, windows yellowed and interior pink rather than red? One of of the three could, just possibly, indicate an unlisted variation, but I'm afraid that all three together point very firmly in one direction - and that is sunfade.
Sunfade is an odd thing. On some models, like the 50a Commer, it leaves shadows which are easy to spot with the trained eye, but other models (like a couple of 30b Cranes I have) somehow seem to fade evenly all over.

You could put six identical, but different production batch, models out in the bright sun and only two of them are likely to be sunfaded to the same degree, it all depends on the thickness of the paint, and the fact that some colours will react differently to the suns rays.
It only takes a couple of months for a model's paint finish to start to be faded into a lighter shade of itself.
Some of the best models to get are those that have been in the window displays of gift shops at seaside resorts, where one whole side of the model is significantly lighter than the other side.
I shudder to think of how many models what today are classed as HTF, have suffered in this way and how annoying it must be for collectors who have examples that look fine on the shelf until you take it off and show it to a friend and the other side is all pale and washed-out.
