Unlike the dark blue version, the legitimacy of this colour variation has not been called into doubt.

While this color is not one that raises an eyebrow on my part, the posted model shown here I expect has a single ejector ring in the position where the driver's rearview mirror would be on the prototype (second casting). This is the color that I dubbed as "turquoise bluish-green" in a web article I did on Zodiacs on an early Matchbox web page hosted out of NYC in 1996. What makes this model important in my mind, is that it marks the first appearance of gray plastic wheels with 33A's. It also throughout its run had hand-painted trim front and rear; and crimped axles only are fitted on this one of course. Regarding the darker blue green piece shown a few posts prior with GPW, I wished to have had an opportunity to examine that one in hand. As to the existence of a true dark blue model I don't think there's much doubt of its legitimacy; I've seen about 6 to 8 in the last 15+ years. The color lies somewhere between the blue 46A Morris and the dark blue 46B Pickfords, and there are "changelings" out there that show properties of both blue and green in a darker mix. - e
