Good evening, a new member!

Post by Sir_Matchbox_96 »

Dear members,

I am new to the VBD-forum and think it is a good idea to introduce myself.

My name is Linus and maybe you get it from my username, I was born in 1996.

I am an 18 years old (what I hope is no problem for you) Matchbox collector and live in Germany near Hamburg.
I am collecting almost every Matchbox toy, but I concentrated on Matchbox toys, which were made in England!

I own round about 2000 Matchbox cars and accessories, partly boxed. If you are interested I can post some pictures.

I am not as far as you pro’s in collecting matchbox toys and can only dream of a yellow #15a prime mover but I think you can imagine that it is a long way by earning 30€ (25£) pocket money per month.

At least I want to give thanks to all members who created this wonderful website. Whenever I got a Matchbox toy, I visited your website and go through the different sections or the forum.

I excuse for my bad spoken (written) English and hope all of you will understand me well.

Happy collecting,
Linus :)

Hallo Linus,

Hello Linus,

You are young, so with a little patience and dedication, one day you will find your yellow 15a - here is mine, which I finally found late last year, costing around NZ$35, which is considerably less than your Euro30 allowance! Good luck, and please do share some pictures of your collection.

Cheers,

Hello Linus, Welcome to the forum.

Good to hear you like Matchbox so much and at your tender age, you have many more years of collecting fun ahead of you, making us old timers a bit jealous!!!

Please enjoy the forum, there are some great topics and threads from our members, many willing to help any new members with queeries on models etc.

Yes we want to see some models in your collection (I want to see Rolls-Royce, do you have any!!!), so don't be shy, post as many as you want.

Regards,
GHOSTHUNTER.

Hello,

thank you all for the warm welcome and your kind posts.

@ Kay: Yes, I remember you. We meat in Eimsbüttel (Hamburg) an I bought a #34a Vw from you. You also had (or have) the King size K 18 horse transporter in this nice blisterbox, but my budget did not fit :D Nice to hear from you and maybe we going to meet again next time.

Nice #15a Prime mover and #11a Erf, gavin!!!

Yes I would lovely post some pictures! Could anyone help: How does these "attachments" work and what size must the pictures have?

Yes 'Ghosthunter', there are a few Rolls Royce too. ;)

Have a nice day,
Linus

Thanks Ghosthunter,

I will try to resize the pictures in paint from 100% to 40% and upload them directly from my computer.

I hope this will work.

Hello Motorman! Yes, I think it was one of my best ideas to register here! That's a nice community here.

Greetings,
Linus
