Opinions on this individuals models

I was looking through Ebay and came across this individuals models. There is also a cream cougar as well as a few other models. THis one caught my curiosity. Your thoughts and opinions?

This particular model has been commented on (only in passing though) in the past. I think the conclusion was that his offerings are genuine but overpriced.

For $325 I wold not even bother. Even if it is real and has loads of documentation, what is the point.
It does not look that good and I could build a fake one of those easily enough. I don't see any real history here, just a stylistic dead end.

Not meaning to be cynical on Easter here. It would not be worth it for me.

THanks for the comments. Yes, prices are not in line with what I would expect to pay. Nothing so far that I would want but appreciate the input. Just wanted to be assured that others have had good dealings with the seller. The model pictured is interesting but I agree, it is not really anyhing special.

We did discuss this on the old forum, As it has no paint but the base rivets and axle crimps look ok I believe it was plated by an old workmate of mine that used to have a plating company next door to the Lesney factory on the Eastway complex.
When I was 16 my first job was as a trainee tote engineer at the Walthamstow Greyhound racing stadium repairing the ticket machines, We had three old age pensioners that also worked there that were responsible for loading the paper, inking the rollers and inserting the code into the ticket machines,
One day one of the pensioners left so the position was given to Jim who was another oap, He was an ex boxer and quite punch drunk. You would have to tell him everything 20 times over and then 20 times again on the following day etc etc etc, Jim would tell me how he had a plating shop / company next door to Lesneys and he was often asked to plate Matchbox toys by the Lesney workers, The charge for a silver plated 1-75 was usually a bacon roll but I would think a gold plated one you would probably have to buy him a dinner!.

Refering to a post from the old old forum, was it not the owner of the stadium that asked you to fix his Rolls Royce brakes for him at a much reduced fee than the specialists were proposing to charge him?

Hi Alex.
No it was his Ferrari 365 Daytona, He got me, the 17 year old apprentice to fix the door locks with brake cables after a thief failed to break in to it but managed to ruin the locks.
