The 33b color saga

We all know the saga with trying to identify the colors of the 33a. Lesney employees have clearly decided to carry on the tradition with the 33b. I have 6 shades of them in my collection. Like the 33a they are impossible for a hack like me to photograph them properly. I recently picked up one that is clearly the desirable sea-green version, but now see I have an even lighter one already! Perhaps someone with better photo equiptment/skills would be so kind as to show us some colors, to include the sea green, with comparisons to some other models?

I totally agree with you, there is a lot of shades, it is impossible to determine it exactly. Even if someone shows the photo here, the shades on the photo depends on several optical factors as e.g. type of light source, angle of illumination, type of camera... I gave up to discuss about the shades on the photos, because I know what the problems I have myself by my collection with shades. I collect the shades and indicate it with index. Every collector should decide yourself how to mark the shades (e.g. with the index a, b, c). Sometimes it is interesting to see some example of shades here.
I would suggest we should not waste time with long discussions which shade or hue has 33a or 53c Ford Zodiac. We should discuss only big differences in colour or shades e.g. white and cream or perhaps the puritans and perfectionalist should distinguish off white also.

I agree on the problems of color. In this case there is only two colors listed so rather than figure out all of them I am just wondering at what point to consider the sea green to begin and end in the spectrum. My assortment is almost exactly the same as your last pic.

Very nice pictures Antonin! As on most other Lesneys, I tend to code three major colors on the 33B, but actually have a few models that are shades between them. The colors you have now shown us Antonin is proof there are many I may have passed up through the years that are best seen side by side. Excellent viewing! kwakers

I think there are 4 basic shades of 33b , sea green,light sea green, turquoise and dark turquoise
