Went on a little car field trip to Whidbey Island Washington to visit Simpson Design shop. What a great day. Jim is an old style coachbuilder. He has worked or restored just about everything imaginable. His main business is custom bodied Miatas. Most are his own designs that give an Italian flair to the little japanese roadster. Visit his website to see his models.

But he had a couple customer custom jobs that are a DB4 short wheelbase Zagato and a 60's Ferrari body.
But to add more fun Jim is a real Japanese car freak. He had a Mazda Cosmos just sitting in the corner. Has had a Toyota 2000 GT or TWO!!!! He is quietly importing some Japanese classics to create his own empire He also had several Italian Lancias and Alfas around the property. What a treat. He also has a large diecast collection and automobile library.
