'CORGI TOYS' copies etc.

Here are the later boxed versions and while a 'Logo' is printed on the font left corner of these, I don't know which company or distributor it represents, but the 'Logo' looks like an 'Aladdin's Lamp'. These were being marketed during the late 1960's and even in the early 1970's, but this time on typical 'Blister Cards'.

Here are the same models but now on 'Blister Cards', they carry the same 'Aladdin's Lamp' Logo and presumably all models in the range were available.

I had the MK1 cortina woody on a card similiar (may even have been the same but i cant find a foto), think the carded ones were also marketed by Fleetwood. Seem to remember there was also a Mini available but its been a long time since then.

Thank's for the info on 'FLEETWOOD', I'll check them out to see if they have marketed the same models. I have now included the listing of cars that I know of and as you can see, there is a Mini in the range.

Austin Mini...Based on the 'Corgi' model.
Mk1, Ford Cortina Estate...Based on the 'Corgi' model.
Rover P6, 2000...Based on the 'Corgi' model.
Jaguar Mk10...Based on the 'Corgi' model.
MkIV, Ford Zodiac...Based on the 'Dinky' model.
Vauxhall Victor 'FC' 101...Based on the 'Dinky' model.

All have clear glazing, soft suspension using a system similar to mid-60's "Matchbox" 1-75 series models, chrome plated copies of 'NOREV' wheel rims with soft nylon based tyres and plastic seat mouldings.

FLEETWOOD TOYS INC, NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK 10010, Made a lot of so called 'Rack Toys', toys designed for marketing on easily movable wire rack displays, and a lot of it's product line was made by Hong Kong companies, but this Fleetwood company are mostly known for making TV and Film based toys (Batman etc) and I have not found any toys in the class of the plastic vehicles mentioned in the above posts, they were however operating in a period that would match, through the 1970's and well into the 1980's.

FLEETWOOD TOY CORP, also based in the U.S. are a little more vague, this company certainly sourced their product line from Hong Kong and they have had normal toys (including vehicles) in their ranges, but their period of operation is unknown, they may just be 'Fleetwood Toys' under a new name, this happens a lot in this industry, but they have made (actually marketed), an RV in Police trim (I think it was a Police version, may be wrong on that), during the 1980's.

So it is certainly conceivable that the little plastic cars have been marketed by one or both of the companies mentioned here.

Here is the 'Blue Box' Mini, 'Blister Card' mounted by a later company, note the little 'Aladdin's Lamp' Logo by the starter figure.

Amazing to see the packaging that these very desirable models came in ,pre 1975 Hong Kong packaging is scarce and obscure today ,thanks for sharing

Ooohh.All this plastic is getting me at it.....Fab stuff.I remember thinking in the seventys when the Tuder Rose stuff was for sale on markets that one day they might be worth having for interest sake.The FX3 and Bedford van spring to mind.....I was also facinated be the Generic digiused cars in car magazines where the manufacturers didnt like there cars being shown in a bad light..They still do that today .Notice the Audi on one of the TV adverts showing now...Whole different subject I know.
