Very nice - I can see why 'yacht' won over 'converted minibus' :D

Congrats :-)

The boat looks familiar to me who build it? I had a boat that size for 5 years, I had to sell it when the kids came. I was in the harbor for 2 years then i thought ok then I dont use it :?

I hope you have more time Captain Nick, get wi fi on it so you can upgrade your site from the 7 seas :D

Jazz. It was built by Thames Marine of Canvey island, it is a Snapdragon 747 built in 1980, it is 7.47 meters long (24ft 6in)

Alex, I may well bring it up to the Clyde, but navigation practise is unnecessary as sat navs are so much easier.

Joe. When I am competent to sail it I will nip across the channel and then go through the French canal network and follow it right the way down to the Mediterranean.
Although it is capable of an Atlantic crossing it will take me a few years to pluck up the courage to try it,

Atlantic crossing............................................stick to the local boating lake in the park, just to get the 'Hang' of it!

You never know George. I might just come and visit you, distance is no object as it does not use any fuel. It has a 300 cc diesel engine but that is only really used to get you in and out of harbour or when there is no wind. I know of a sailboat owner that made £20 worth of diesel last 4 years and he is out in the boat most weekends.

Ghostie & John, I have 7 Lledo display units which can hold 15 models each that are already earmarked for the walls.

Congratulations on your newest acquisition Nick.
May you have fair winds and following seas wherever that craft may take you.
