Hello Ian, nice jigsaw you have got there, I think the front number plate reads something like...XPX 1...or something like that, so it is in my collection somewhere, but I can give it a good home if it becomes troublesome for you, if it starts yapping at bed time and annoying the neighbours, then it is time to send it to another home, so yes there is a place for it at my home, I have had training in looking after this type of jigsaw

So where is Ghosty...

I'm afraid I'm still here, they haven't got rid of me yet!

You may have noticed I have been posting comments etc in some of the threads and topics on the forum, this is because I have managed to convince Father to have Broadband installed at his house for two reasons...first, to enable his own PC to be connected, so he can browse the internet to give him something extra to enjoy while stuck indoors and secondly, I can continue enjoying the company of my friends on the forum.

His illness is still causing problems with standing up, walking and sessions of energetic arm and legs movement in the form of twitching and kicking actions, he also has sessions of his head moving from side to side in a regular pattern and while the Doctors are happy that this is all normal, it is distressing for me and it tires him out so when he is in bed, he wakes up and has a long session of talking to himself or singing in a typical 'Pub' style and he knows he is doing it and actually tells himself to shut-up, worrying he will wake me up in the other room, which he doesn't.

So, no major improvement at this stage, but a Doctor's appointment is due towards the end of this Month, so we will see what he says and if any more adjustment can be made to the medication.

The saga with my main laptop crashing and subsequently being repaired was short lived, it failed to work in as much as 'Windows' now needed to be activated by buying a new 'Product key' number (which was not for me to do, this was the job of the repair man), activate 'Windows' over the phone (again the repair man's job) and one other option I now can't remember, because I quickly lost interest and was thinking of throwing the damn thing out of the window while driving!

So, from my Father's house I drove all the way to my home and popped into the repair shop not far from where I live, only to find they were temporarily closed due to some urgent building work and did not know when they would open again!!!

Anyway, a long story short, I took it to a local PC Clinic back where my Father lives and he has activated 'Windows' for me, free of charge, phew! I have my main laptop (packed with model Rolls-Royce info), with me, working and enabling me to write this here for you!

Regards,
Kevin, the GHOSTHUNTER.

I must say Ghosty - it's good to have you back posting :D From personal experience I can vouch for the benefit of this forum if you're in a bit of a socially isolated situation, even if I've got nothing to say myself I come and see what's going on every day. Even if there's nothing new to learn on a particular day, the banter always raises a smile or ten.
Hope things improve for you and your Dad soon.
All the best

Hello Ewan,

Yes, now I have access to the internet at my Father's home, I am never too far away from my Laptops (Three with me at the moment!), so I am constantly popping in to the forum, there is so much fun to be had so yes, it does cheer me up on the darker days.

Thank's again Ewan,

Kevin, the GHOSTHUNTER.
