I'VE GONE AND GOT A BRAZILIAN!!

I have finally taken the plunge into Brazilian Matchbox having done a lot of research over the past year or so (it's such a tricky area with so many fakes about) anyway here are some images of my virgin purchase which I would think it's a Roly Toys issue. I am very confident that this is a genuine Brazilian issue.

Shame the 'Roly Toys' sticker has gone missing from the base of the Lotus (which it would have had if it is certainly a Roly version) and thinking of 'Roly Toys'. thought you (and other members), might like to see some 'ROLY' adverts etc.

I know Brazilian models came in many different colours but what makes this a Brazilian model in particular? Could it be a colour trial?

Rivits look good and the fact that the Roly toys sticker is missing is a big plus on a playworn example because those stickers were not stuck on very tightly over the raised lettering & kids were also inclined to remove them. Was it sourced from Brazil? With no provenance like a screen shot of a Brazilian ebay auction it could also be a UK colour trial - orange was a colour Lesney liked a lot in the mid 1970s.

nice to see that 3rd ad which proves Roly toys were dealing with Lesney prior to the SF name being created

Yes! Reluctantly i did buy it from that seller in Bolton!!!!!

However I did have knowledge of who he purchased it from and here is the link to the original E bay sale, all the way from Brazil!!

I would also think that labels are removed and reassigned to English Made matchbox to make it look like a genuine Brazil model which is then sold at an inflated price!!

Oh it's a model ! I've just tuned into this thread and though you actually got a real Brazilian ? Thankfully not as there are no naked pictures of you on here Al lol.
