question about outdated posts

Post by jaskelrod »

Hi.
I was just wondering---
if I submit a post that only serves as a 'heads up' for upcoming e.bay auctions, is there any way I can take the post down after the auctions are over?
I don't want to clutter up the board with my 'heads up' messages.
Also, any updates on the VBD auction page?
Thanks,
Jason

GHOSTY - I just had a look as it would be handy for me to do this too - no black cross though, just an 'edit' option. The black cross only seems to appear on very recent posts.

Yes Ewan, I was wondering how long the delete cross is available, clearly not very long, so all I can suggest is mention it to one of the forum's 'Moderators' and talk about deleting old postings, I believe they can do it.

Hi yes I have deleted a few posts, the ones that started to appear from some one who was posting a lot of nonsense posts in a strange wording.
I do not know how long they had been on the forum, but as I am a administrater I can but try for you.

Hello George.
So do I understand that I need to contact a site administrator with requests to delete posts, because it is not possible on my end?
Thank you in advance for the info.

You can delete your own posts but not other members posts.

Just find an old post of yours that you want to deleted, and either click the edit post button and then click the delete post option, or just click the black cross on the post itself (easiest option).

I have the 'edit' button, but did not see an option for delete.
I brought my outdated to post to the attention of an administrator by reporting it------(!)
Have you heard any new news on VBD's auction site?
