Yes that is a new one for me

It looks like it missed its white mask spray

Well done

For comparison these are the K2 models I have

(not sure why the photos have been chopped on the right. I think that if you click on the photos you will see the whole truck)

I used to be friendly with the guys at Matchbox R&D when that department was based in England

They would use their own or their friend's own car's reg numbers as number plates when making these toys

The first Matchbox Dinkies all had the number plates of R&D personnel

Some collectors eg Nigel Cooper, have their names immortalised on models

Quite a few racing and rally cars eg the Audi Quatro have the names of Matchbox personnel on them

This sort of kept up a tradition

In the old days Jack Odell used to insinuate his name in reverse LLEDO (which had been his call sign when he was in Signals in the army) onto quite a few Kings

This is another part of what makes collecting these things fun

Theres not so much diecast at the boots around here has there used to be,i would guess most is now going through ebay,i have gone to three so far this year and have bought mostly non diecast but have picked up a bright yellow back grit truck for a pound,a arbur cab for £2 and this transporter for £2.50 which i am pleased about, this week i went with the wife and the dog,one hand i had the dog lead the other the shopping, only could look with my eyes from a distance so was lucky this transporter was on top, next time the dogs stopping at home lol.,anyone thinking why doesn,t the wife hold the dog and the shopping isn,t married  and it was mothers day!
