'A' and 'B' Time-line display..jpg
Hello again Lrrp59, I have been showing these models like this to help in their indentification regards my own listing of these and now that they are like this, it is easy to see which ones are missing, just like your display.

The actual number of models in this picture has gone up, so now there is 'A 10' and 'B 10' spaces and one of these has already been filled.

Newer pictures of this model and the #44a Silver Cloud are being organised for posting on the forum very soon, so keep an eye open for them.

Regards,
GHOSTHUNTER.
I like your listing. I have always believed, that as collectors, we should list the models in this fashion. Younger collectors would greatly benefit, perhaps growing our hobby. Seeing all the shades of color. That's why I keep coming back for more.

Yes Dave that's the one. Did you happen to buy it? I would like to know if any others had the tail lights painted in.

Hi Jeff, I wish I could afford to buy this. I had it in my watch list...just wanted to see what it would sell for. Too me the red on the tail lights look's like it was added.
I don't have my Stannard catalogue (my Bible) here at home to see if they mention red applied to tail lights :?: Here's the link below for the listing.

This is one of the 'Key' wheel variations in the regular wheel series, so was a bargain if it is as mint as the picture depicts GPW. I have only seen Hardy's spare that is for sale in person, and only one beater in England sell these last 6 years that may not have been 'right'. Earlier in life I would have been a player for this mint one, but enjoying what is left of life somehow gets in the way of collecting expensive missing mint rares now. kwakers

kwakers , that's where Im at ...I have to limit myself to what I spend on one model as Im not much behind you in life. But I think it sold for a fair price. Im thinking this one is right there with the GPW Taxi as far as rare

Quite a bit rarer than the GPW Taxi in my opinion, but it has been pointed out by Forum members that once we find a rare Lesney, it no longer seems as rare. From my experience there may be 5 GPW Taxis for every one original 34B with SPW that have been sold publicly these last 6 years. Other areas may be different, but they just can not even be found as 'beaters' anywhere in the U.S.......kwakers

Hello guys,

RE:GPW and SPW.

I heard that non standard components on many Lesney products were kept for the home market, I.E. The U.K., under the assumption that models on display that did not match exactly it's catalogue illustration, would be easier to exchange for correct models when the shop owner was made aware by customers, but of course not all customers (surely made up of children), would be too concerned that the model they are holding has Silver-Grey plastic wheels instead of the Grey plastic wheels seen in the catalogue. This may well go some way in explaining why so many of what we now class as HTF models, can be found in the U.K. easier than other countries.

My source of this statement comes from a reliable close friend of the late Ken Wetton, so I am inclined to accept it as credible.

GHOSTHUNTER.
