Re: Hunting for Ghosty..
Hello forum friends. Just got a few hours here, and there are loads of subjects I need to look at, but first my Father.
Not too bad at the moment, still having sessions of his legs suddenly becoming like strips of rubber and unable to support him, this has prevented him from going out to the shops etc, even with a walking frame.
I am trying to coax him out and down to the car so we can at least go for a drive somewhere, just to get him out, even if he won't get out of the car when we get there!
I will be staying with him much longer than originally planned, but if we get results at the end, then so be it.
It is giving me a chance to search through more of my Rolls-Royce model collection, stuff that was not important like duplicates and bad condition models (beaters etc), were stored at my Father's home, because he had plenty of spare space (living on his own), and its amazing what was put into storage and slowly I am transfering these models back to my normal home. I am trying to concentrate on the "Matchbox" models first and have found several extra #24 Silver Shadows and #69c Silver Shadow droptops, all to be sorted and added to my normal collection, some of which have been seen on the forum as part of articles etc.
Right, time to go and have a look at what some of you have posted, so thanks to all of you and I will be back in a week or two.
Regards,
Kevin the GHOSTHUNTER.

Good to hear from you Kevin.
As you hint at in your post, slow progress is better than no progress - all the best to both of you

Re: Hunting for Ghosty..
Thank's Ewan, I do not do things around the house for my Father automatically, but am there when he needs help, this way he is learning to do things himself. I am doing his shopping and medication management.
I still have not got him in his car yet (as a passenger), so we have not been out anywhere so far, but he is keen to get out and see some different scenary, so that aspect of his recovery is very slow at the moment, fingers crossed he will suddenly be confident and ask me to take him out.
Thank's again Ewan, regards,
Kevin.

Nice to hear from you Ghosty. Sorry things are sounding slow, but be optimistic and it might rub off on your Dad. Good luck to both of you.

Thanks for the update Kevin. Hope things continue to improve with your dad. Remember there is no need to rush back mate, your dad comes first. Thanks for popping by, take care.

Re: Hunting for Ghosty..
You guys out there really are a nice welcome home for me, thanks.
Yes I am back home for a while, time to get an M.O.T. on my Rolls-Royce, so will be near my laptop for a day or two.
No real change with my Father, still having problems with losing energy towards the latter part of the day and having to rely on his walking frames, we do have an appointment in early March, with one of his Doctors, so I have not informed any one about him, leaving it for this visit to the Parkinson's specialist.
Regards,
Kevin.

Re: Hunting for Ghosty..
Hello to my forum friends (I was going to start with Hi guys, but no...you are friends, not mere guys any more), and as before, thank you for your messages.
Just a quick update...an earlier post says I have to get an M.O.T. on my car...well, she passed, the old yellow peril (my yellow Rolls-Royce) has a nice new piece of paper, saying she is allowed to be on the road for another 12 months!!!
My Dad is somewhat better, but still loses his legs during the day, every day, but at different times. A slight change in his medication has helped, but Parkinsons has so many side effects and causes different problems for the many sufferers.
We have now managed to get him in two different cars for Doctors appointments, my Rolls and his Astra, but apart from that, he is not going out for anything, I am still doing the shopping and chasing the ladies for him (that bit I don't mind!!!).
While I am here, I will have a look around the forum, but I am using a secondary laptop for this (my best laptop with most of my Rolls-Royce models info and the one I prefere to use for this forum, crashed and needed a new 'Hard drive', so no new images from me for a while), until I have run it upto speed and happy with the repiar.
Until next time, keep posting all your facinating model subjects and images to the forum, this really is becoming the best place on the 'Web' for our hobby.
Regards,
GHOSTHUNTER.
