Very nice indeed. I've got a very playworn Pickfords but I haven't seen that livery before.

The pickfords was the first one i got,nice ones are going up in value

I tried to buy the trailer before but was outbid,in ramsays theres the following list
1, timpo toys decal....red ..green ...blue trailer
2,pickfords
3,united daires
4,walls ice cream
5,lyons tea
6, bishops london
7, bishops edinburgh

number 7 must be really rare

Very nice indeed. Any idea if there would be a better chance of picking up the Bishops Edinburgh one in Edinburgh or were they all on general sale everywhere?

It does seem very odd that they should have produced two sets of decals: one with the London address and one with the Edinburgh one. Could these have been promotional models for distribution to (would-be) customers (c.f. the Matchbox two-line 46b Pickfords)?

That ones great Dave. I remember the company well and was still going when I left the UK. Bishops and Pickfords were probably the 2 largest movers in London at the time. I should imagine even the Bishop[s model is a rare beastie to come across nowadays.

I've always felt that "Bishop's Move" was an extraordinarily clever piece of wordplay (on a par with Knights of Old).

i would imagine that they were gifts for using bishops and you got one from the branch you used ie london or edinburgh,i haven,t managed to find a pic of the scottish one yet but they are suposed to be the same colour ,pale yellow.
