It woulkd certainly be a welcomed upgrade if he could as it would save me and others time editing images. It would also encourage others members who are less skilled with computers to post more images.

That sounds like a good idea but I don't have a clue of how to do it, We did have a PHP programmer offer to try and sort out the auction forum, I believe he also does Mick's site too but his name escapes me (brain dead). Help!......

Guys just a suggestion about resizing pictures.

Before you upload pictures to Photobucket or whatever you use to host your pictures , adjust the size of the picture to about 2x3 inches or less. You can do the resizing through Paintshop Pro, Microsoft Office Picture Manager, or even MS Paint. Almost everyone has some type photo editing software. Just use what you have and resize before uploading.

For those of us who are trying to look at pictures that have already been posted that are way too large to fully view, there is a quick and easy fix.

If you are using Internet Explorer to view this forum just click on the little gear in the top right hand corner of your screen. Once the little window is open look for "ZOOM" it should be the third one down from the top. Click on 50%. You should now be able to view the complete picture without scrolling the screen. You may need to adjust up or down on the scale to view to the picture to your satisfaction.
Once you have finished looking at the picture remember to go back to zoom and set at 100% or whatever setting you had before you made the change.

If you are using Chrome to view this forum just click the three horizontal lines in the top right hand corner of your screen. . Once the little window is open look for "ZOOM". It should be the seventh item down from the top of the list. Click on the "-" (minus symbol) on the left side of 100%. Reduce size to 50% or lower. You should now be able to view the complete picture without scrolling the screen. You may need to adjust up or down on the scale to view to the picture to your satisfaction.
Once you have finished looking at the picture remember to go back to zoom and set at 100% or whatever setting you had before you made the change.

If you use a browser different from IE or Chrome, such as Firefox or some other browser just go to browser settings (normally in the top right had corner) and click on "Zoom". Adjust to desired size less than 100% so you can properly view the picture. Just remember to change the zoom setting back once you are done looking at pictures.

I'm not an expert by any means, but do know a little about adjusting pictures.
Good Luck and I hope this helps someone. :)

Nick, If you believe this will help people please add this as a sticky.

Sorry about editing but wanted to add extra note about browsers other than IE and Chrome. Plus edited spelling which I have to do on every post I make. LOL
Thanks,

Oldfart

I have no idea how to install it, but here is a link to a phpBB mod that is supposed to resize images:

Thanks Martin. I will wait and see if we get a reply from RacingFreak first, PHP is light years past my abilities.

How are we going with the photo automatic resizing? Agree totally with motorman, it's such a pain when you have use the slide bar thing to view photos.
As it only takes a couple of minutes to resize motorman perhaps you or someone else could send me some instruction to carry out such an operation!!

Cheers Steve
