Looking for Philip Bowdidge Listings

Post by hydra427 »

Hello, I am interested in getting my hands on some of the books/listings that Philip Bowdidge did on Matchbox. Does anyone have information, duplicates, etc. that you could send me. I am mainly interested in the Matchbox Major and Accessory Pack Series but will take anything that you can supply.

I am told that Phillip is still around, but I have not seen him in many years since possibly a Show of Charlie Mack's at West Point in New York. I bought my early printing of Mike Stannard's Guide from him when he sneaked a few over here for a few Yanks to enjoy. I have hoped over the past few years for his return to this particular Forum, and I refuse to give up on him. He seems to keep a very low profile, but kwakers hopes he is healthy and well at whatever his pursuits may be today. Cheers wherever you may be Phillip my friend

Philip's guides do crop up very, very occasionally on Ebay, but seem to be unobtainable via any kind of secondhand book dealer.

Hello hydra427, I have these books #s 1-2-3-5 #4 I cannot locate. I do not have any doubles of them. But I may be able to do some photo copies.
Here is the photo of the front cover of the one you want.

I have the first and second series of them. I have no spares but maybe able to do the same or scan them.

Hi George,
I'm very sorry about that.
I obviously never saw them and to be honest I'm very poor on the computer. It's not really my thing. I get someone to show me how to do something and then just follow what they showed me each time. If I happen to push the wrong button then I'm stuffed!!!!!
Your timing could not have been better for getting in touch again as I just literally moved them out of storage this week and in to our new home.

E-mail me on this address; sara@pie.co.nz

April 13th.

You could bring the Bowdidge down and I could scan for you so you could send to George perhaps?

Just a thought. Would be good to catch up too. Plus St. Mary's fast approaching...

I'd send a PM, but I don't trust it...

Cheers,
Gavin
