I don't know much about AHI, but it seems Azrak Hamway may have been founded around 1964, but most if not all the matchbox style models they produced are early ones (mid 1950s). So either they were produced along a similar timeline as the Matchbox ones before AHI were officially founded or, as AHI, they saw a gap in the market and produced their models some time in the 60s. Just my guess here, can anyone help anymore?

This model is made of metal casting.
that model weighs twice as heavy as a Matchbox model.
I believed the Japan (and Chinese) replicas, are made of plastic?
