A warm welcome to the VBD forum

Post by nickjones »

Firstly let me offer you a warm welcome to the forum, I hope you will find this to be a friendly and educational place to enjoy our shared interest of collecting Lesney Matchbox toys.

This is a no rules forum, there are enough rules in everyday life without having them intrude into our leisure time interests, but please try and stick to these guidelines.

1) Please keep it friendly, Respect other members and they will respect you, politeness costs nothing.

2) Live ebay auctions, By all means discuss live auctions if you have a valid question to ask, But please remember many of us spend hours searching through ebay to find rare pieces that have gone unnoticed or are listed in the wrong category, There's nothing worse than having the gem you have spent all week searching for posted on here for everyone to see and bid on,
All ended auctions are of course open for discussion.
And if you see something that is listed as a buy it now and you think is under priced but you already have one then please pass it on to another member in our 'hot tip offs' in the 'ebay' section.

Hello! This looks like a nicer format than the new Lefora one. :D

I think the format is basically the same as Mick Flack's Moyboyz

For the time being I am somewhat confused.

Most importantly, will the contents of the old forum be migrated over here somehow? It would be a shame to lose all our old posts!

And why are my posts moderated?

OK, thanks for getting back to me!

As I just said over on the Lefora site, Mick Flack's Yesteryear forum, which apparently uses the same forum software as this new one, is not moderated, so there must be a way to switch the moderation off. Perhaps ask Mick?

Edit: this post has come up immediately, so it seems you found the switch! Congratulations, and keep up the good work! :D
