38c - Orange trailer with labels

Post by Ozbox »

Sorting through some recent acquisitions today I noted this strange 38c Honda Trailer I picked up in a job lot. Rather than having the Honda decal it has the Honda label. (It also came with the later purple motorcycle, which I assume just got packed in by its last owner.)

The trailer appears to be a code 7 variation.

I suppose the labels could just be aftermarket jobs that someone stuck on later but I'm still a little intrigued.

Has anyone else come across one of these before?

they werent making labels for this yet...they wouldve gone from the orange trailer to the yellow trailer and still used decals...i would say this is not factory applied

the purple bike looks cool...still trying to get one of those!

has anyone or does anyone have a trailer without a flea bite...i have about 40 of these...even the ones in a box has at least one flea bite...ive never come across one that isnt nicked a little...this is in my top five favorite models!
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

I agree with JP and Dan also.
The RW orange trailer does come with a Honda decal and is fairly hard to come by. It is shown on Nick's Website: http://www.vintagebritishdiecasts.co.uk ... /xx38c.htm
