Best of luck with this project, Nick! It shows how highly regarded you are in the Matchbox world to be approached by the publisher, Osprey, to do this assignment. Seems like it will be more of a general guide (rather than a specialised one).. but you never know, it could be a stepping-stone to getting into print with more dedicated works in the future. Your in-depth knowledge of RWs and a bit of additional research will hold you in good stead!
:D

The book will be covering all matchbox models, The 'Shires' series books usually have 7 to 10 chapters, with 7 chapters that only leaves 9 pages for each chapter so it will have to be concise.

If you need a working title, how about "Fifty Shades of Paint"? :D

I am afraid a 64 page book covering all Matchbox models (only diecast? only vehicle models?) will not be of much use to most of us. I could write a 64 page book about the 51D Citroen SM alone! ;)

Still I will of course get a copy once it is published. Good luck with the project anyway!
