Very nice to see the discovery of yet another genuine RW model using SF components - there must be more of them out there most likely in the same region where this was found (Germany?). The fact that it has been so heavily played with rules out the lunchbox special tag!

With Mike's model found as a kid played with/ store bought rarity, two are now known to survive Thanks to Antonin's Vectis picture. Others may have been ignored by us as 're-paints' over the years, now we can look for them with different eyes. I would like to see this variation added to Nick's codes at the end of the regular wheel production. I agree with Nick's initial call of a Superfast colored box used on it as well as Mick's excitement at finding a virtually unknown transitional model in 2014! The thick paint on Mike's comparison model hides the stock mold lines that are clearly shown on the red box version he has, but those lines are stock. The left top hinge pillar actually has so much paint, it gives the appearance of an angled bottom casting which I have never seen. The new red box casting looks as all my stock earlier variations do. What a Great find to proudly own and display Mike. It is the rare variation that we regular wheel collectors dream of finding one day. kwakers
